Former Head of Customs and Border Protection Mark Morgan joined The National Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat to break it down.

“I hope that Sheriff Lamb makes it to the United States Congress. We need more men and women like him that actually understand what’s happening and is going to put America first. What’s important to understand here is that these organizations, NGOs, they’re supposed to be nonprofit organizations. But here’s what’s happening,” he said. “They’re using the lawlessness and chaos at our southern border to rake in millions and millions of dollars, both from unsuspected donors who don’t understand where the money is going, as well as from U.S. taxpayers.”

Lamb first made the claim in a video he shared to his Senate campaign on X, claiming that the government was giving gift cards, cell phones and airline tickets to migrants after entering the country.

“The DHS is using the famous disaster relief program to divert millions of dollars to get to these NGOs, who are really facilitating and completing the last leg of the world’s largest smuggling operation as part of this administration’s interim release program. Here’s how it works. We’re going to apprehend someone that illegally entered,” Morgan said. “Quickly, they release them out the back door who then are received by these NGOs, who give them everything and anything they want to complete the last leg of the ministry of the human smuggling operation and send them off to anywhere in the United States that they illegally wants to go.”
